Meet the team
1 Peter 10 says "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. "
At St Katharine's, we are blessed with an amazing team of people who offer their gifts to serve God and to serve Matson
Sarah - Priest in Charge
I'm the Revd Sarah Todd and it is my privilege to be Priest in Charge here at St Katharine's Matson. I am also Vicar of St Barnabas on the Stroud Road. I am part of a wonderful leadership team here at St Katharine's including our churchwarden Pam, and the PCC, who are trustees of the church. St Katharine's is part of Gloucester City Deanery, and worship and ministry here in Matson is supported by a team from our partner church St Barnabas on the Stroud Road. You can meet the team here. We also love working with many community groups in Matson and other churches.
So a bit about me. I am married to Ian and have four children and a small dog. Before ordination in 2016, I was a musician and then trained for ministry at the Queens Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education in Birmingham. I am especially interested in exploring ways that all ages can be church together 7 days of the week and helping others, especially young people explore God’s plan for their lives. I also love digital ministry, film making, writing songs and sharing stories.
I enjoy long walks, playing the piano, singing, researching family and local history, coffee with friends and exploring new places and ideas! I am also a huge Gloucester Rugby Fan and am saving up for a season ticket!
Pam - Church Warden
Pam is our churchwarden and is responsible with the Priest in Charge and the PCC for all that goes on at St Katharine's. As well as being involved in the day to day running of the church, she is part of the flower arranging team.
Pam enjoys time with her family and her feisty little Jack Russell Misty.
Contact Pam on 01452 304892 or at pm.marsh@gmail.com for all issues to do with the Church and graveyard maintenance.
Hannah - Church Administrator
Hannah works on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings in our office on the Stroud Road. She will be able to help you with many things - so if you have a question, Hannah is usually the best person to contact. When she isn't in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and the odd bar of chocolate. Contact her on 01452 524173 or office@stbg.uk. The office is open by appointment for visits.
St Katharine's PCC
The Parochial Church Council is a trustee board made up of members of the church. Together with the Priest in Charge and the churchwarden, they are responsible for the overall wellbeing, practical as well as spiritual, of their church, the church members, and the church buildings. The PCC also has a duty to promote the mission of the church within the wider community. They are always pleased to hear from you. Contact them through the church office.
